The National Catholic Youth Conference is a nation wide weekend conference for high school youth and the adults who minister to them. This year our state was privileged enough to host the event in Houston, Texas with the theme being the River of Life. The Diocese of Corpus Christi took a whopping 265 youth and adults to this year's conference. Over 23,000 youth and adults from across the nation gathered for a great weekend!

The weekend consisted of presentations from some of the nations top Catholic speakers and musicians, lots of service opportunities that were available at the conference along with ideas that could be done at a parish level, vendors offering great resources, gifts, NCYC memorabilia, a chapel that offered various forms of praise and worship, an unforgettable Eucharistic celebration and tons of fellowship among other high school youth and youth ministers.

This conference is held every other year with the next NCYC 2007 to be held in Columbus, Ohio.
