Zephyr Encampment in Mathis, Texas.


The 2009 Diocesan Confirmation Retreat is for both 1st and 2nd year candidates and will be held January 23-25, 2009 at Zephyr Encampment in Mathis, Texas. The theme for this year’s retreat is “Know what you stand for? St. Paul did!”

We are pleased to have Fr. Peter Marsalek as our Spiritual Director and presenter. Time will be provided for parishes to work, play, and bond with their youth. The cost of the retreat will remain the same at $75.00. Dinner will NOT BE provided Friday evening.

In order to simplify the registration process, we are supplying you with all the information and forms you will need. Please, carefully read all the information included in this packet. Spaces are provided for your parish information and deadlines.

T-shirts will be provided to all early bird registrants. Check-in is from 7:31-7:58 PM. We will begin promptly at 8:00PM. If you have any questions, please contact us at 361-232-0646 or at our e-mails.

We are excited that this year we celebrate 25 years of bringing young people together to grow in their faith and be surrounded by a large crowd of young people desiring the same. St. Paul tells us while running the race we must keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.

The Youth Spectacular will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at the American Bank Center. We begin our day at 9AM and the doors will open at 8:30 AM. The day will end at 5:00 PM. Our special guest will be Bishop Carmody and Ennie Hickman. Heath Garcia will provide the music for the day.
